Keele SU - Success through cash automation

Keele Students Union have a number of student facilities on site, including bars, café facilities, retail outlet, print shop, reception, and cloak room, which require till floats to be prepared, deposited and the provision of change to be provided in a secure manner for many hours during the day and night.

With previous operational knowledge of the CashCompleteTM RCS-400 & SDM-504S within the team at Keele Students Union at a different location, the Students Union could see where improvements could be made in their cash management and knew implementing this solution would be beneficial for them. The RCS-400 coin recycling solution configured with an SDM-504S note unit were installed, allowing them to completely automate their cash handling.

The staff within Retail, Visitor Services and Finance at National Portrait Gallery were initially counting and reconciling cash manually across 3 locations within the gallery.
